Bruce C. Gockerman

Walter Eugene Lord

Mr. Gockerman is an experienced lawyer, researcher, consultant, educator, and practitioner- scholar.

He earned his undergraduate degree in Economics from Eastern Michigan University, J.D. from Wayne State University Law School, MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) from the Weatherhead School of Management, Case Western Reserve University.

He specializes in the use of cross-disciplinary analytics to understand and address complex issues in organizations and environments. He served for 15 years as a faculty member of The Illinois Institute of Technology Stuart School of Business, where he taught in the MPPA and MBA Programs in the disciplines of policy, economics. finance and law, including, Policy Evaluation and Design Analytics, Infrastructure Economics & Management, Master Thesis Development, Emerging issues in the Global Business Environment and Strategic Management & Design Thinking. He also taught Corporate Finance, Statistics and Predictive Analytics (Decision Making), Data Analysis and Time Series Analysis at the Robert Morris Graduate School of Management, Chicago, Illinois.

Most recently he has joined The University of West Florida, College of Business, as a faculty member in the Department of Accounting and Finance as a Visiting Instructor of Finance.

Gockerman holds the Certified Valuation Analyst and Certified Forensic Financial Analyst designations (Emeritus) from the National Association of Valuators & Analysts. In addition, Bruce founded the Chicago based consulting firms, Standard Deviation Econometrics, Ltd and Public Policy Analytics, Ltd where he has worked for both public and private organizations.

He and co-author Walter Eugene Lord met while attending the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and have collaborated on projects together for 25 + years.

Mr. Lord is a practicing management consultant and adviser. 

Lord’s consulting and advisory practice involves working with all levels within organizations, emphasizing information (quantitative and non-quantitative) and analysis to enhance the quality of decision-making.  His practice focus is on helping business owners understand the sources of firm value, identify obstacles and opportunities, and develop strategies to achieve desired results.

Prior to transitioning into private practice, Lord served in various corporate roles for over 25 years, including chief financial officer, strategic planning and operations roles, and board of directors member. 

After leaving corporate, Lord served as shareholder and manager for a multi-office CPA and consulting firm and college accounting instructor. Mr. Lord has been in private practice since 2006.

Lord earned his undergraduate degree (BBA) in Banking and Finance at The University of North Texas and MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. 

He holds a Certificate in Corporate and Asset Valuation from the Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford and Import Certification from the Institute for Supply Management.

Walter Eugene Lord is a CPA, licensed in Texas, and a member of the AICPA and CIMA and the Dallas Chapter of the Texas Society of CPAs. Mr. Lord practices under the firm  Walter Eugene Lord, PLLC (Certified Public Accountant),  licensed in Texas.
